I met Randi this winter when we happened to sit at the same lunch table during Altitude Design Summit. She was just as sweet as could be, and handed me one of the most unique business cards ever–fantastic advertising for her design and printing skills. I wasn’t the only one those cute little cards impressed: they were the talk of the town in all the after-Alt blog posts and were featured everywhere.
It’s been fun getting to know Randi through her blog since then. I really enjoy her insightful writing, creativity, and gorgeous photography. I’m so glad to give you the opportunity to meet her, today.
Hi, it’s Randi popping over from swoon. My husband, two little girls, and (a very pregnant) me are currently living in a shoebox apartment in the Bay area. That’s all about to change this summer as we pack up our things and move home to Seattle!
We’ve bought our first house, a cute mid-century, and can’t wait to make it ours. Fortunately, the house is equipped with a nicely sized family room downstairs, which leaves the small upstairs living room to the adults. I hope you never know the horror of stepping on hard plastic toys with bare feet, but it’s a regular thing at our house. Thankfully, we’re banishing the bulk of the toys, and the t.v. to the basement this time around.

I’m dreaming of cozy neutrals paired with a bright rug and pops of gold. I can’t wait to listen to music while we cook in the nearby kitchen, and snuggle our new babe by the white brick fireplace. I plan to escape here to read books at nap time and look forward to finally having a place to hang the stockings at Christmas.
Even if our house doesn’t turn out quite as glamorous as my dreams, I know we will love it because we’ll be together, and we’ll finally be home.

Hi Ruth,
Cute posts lately. Hope the move it going well. I’ll trying to reach you but can’t get an email address. Erica
